Highland Park Locals Form a Labor Coalition Committed to enhancing their power in order to win the contracts they deserve, the unions of the Highland Park School District have joined together in a Labor Coalition. Noting "In Unity There Is Strength," Highland Park Federation of Teachers President A.W. Walker and Eddy Bell, President of the Highland Park Federation of Paraprofessionals are two of the Coalition's leaders. President Walker emceed the founding September 13 Coalition meeting. Putting their words into action immediately, the Coalition marched over to that evening's school board meeting. AFT Michigan President David Hecker and Staff Representative Johnny Mickles participated at the September 13 event.
