The Early Educators Association of Michigan / AFT
TEEAM /AFT

Early Childhood Educators in Michigan have come together and formed an association. Through this association they are holding organizing meetings, professional development sessions, and most recently strategies to work with the state on the new I - Billing System.

The early educators are associate members of American Federation of Teachers Michigan. As an associate member of AFT Michigan, educators are a part of one of the largest teachers unions in Michigan. AFT National provides a benefits plus package for associate members.

AFT Michigan supports the researched fact that early childhood education is very important and those children who get that early start will perform better throughout his/her school years. AFT Michigan also supports the workers in early childhood education respecting them as professionals, and recognizing that they have limited resources available to them. AFT Michigan works to ensure that Michigan's children receive a quality education by providing free professional development to early educators.
