Don't Privatize My Job!

The Senate Reform Committee yesterday passed bill a bill, SB 1074 which requires school districts to get competitive bids for food service and custodial services (transportation was dropped from the bill) before they can collectively bargain with those units and the bids must be posted on the district’s website. Despite the lack of evidence that contracting out actually saves school districts money, the legislature continues to believe it can balance the budget on the backs of school district employees. Send an email to your State Senator telling them to vote NO on SB 1074!

Stop Reforming Me Out of a Paycheck

The Senate Reform Committee passed bills increasing public employee health care premiums; you would pay up to 20%.
Send an email to your Senator asking them to vote NO on SB 1046 and SJR P.
