 March 29 , 2011 Dear Members: Lobby Day 2011 will be held on Tuesday, May 17. The day will begin with breakout sessions in Ballrooms 5 - 8 on the first floor of the Lansing Center at 10:45 a.m. Topics for discussion may include budget issues, health care, retirement, collective bargaining rights and education finance and reform. We will do our best to arrange appointments for you with your legislators at their offices between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. (bus transportation will be available). A buffet luncheon has been scheduled for our members from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. to accommodate these appointments. For your convenience, transportation will be provided from the Detroit area and northern Michigan. The tentative schedule is to depart the Detroit area at approximately 9:00 a.m. and return at approximately 5:00 p.m. and depart Mackinaw City at approximately 6:30 a.m. and return at approximately 7:00 p.m., with other stops according to attendance. All members are welcome to join us, and it is vitally important that at least one representative from each local attend. Please complete the attached registration form and return it to the Lansing Office by April 25, indicating your transportation preference in the left margin.
